Enterprise AI Platforms for Healthcare
Available AI Platforms
University of Utah Health provides secure, compliant AI platforms to support responsible innovation across our health system.
Only ChatGPT Enterprise HIPAA (not Enterprise Edu) and Google Gemini Chat are approved for limited PHI use. These tools may assist with drafting and knowledge work but are not approved for large datasets, bulk processing, or system integrations.
Epic remains the source of truth for clinical documentation and patient care. AI tools are supportive only and do not replace clinical systems of record.

Copilot is designed to support everyday work within Microsoft applications and is not approved for PHI or HIPAA-regulated information.
This is currently in the Pilot phase and will be released generally in the near future.
